There are 3 methods how to do that depending on wether you'll use the presets in Lightroom Mobile or Lightroom Desktop (CC/Classic)

  2. From the top right corner of “Presets” menu select “…” ->Import Presets…”
  3. From there, select your Presets Desktop files and click “Import".
Lightroom Classic

  2. Locate and choose your unzipped Presets Desktop files there and click “Import”.
  3. Your Presets will appear on the left side in the “Presets” tab under “Navigator”.

How to install the .dng files?

There are 2 methods in which you can do that:

METHOD 1 - Transferring the preset .dng files to Lightroom Mobile app. This method requires the FREE Lightroom mobile app and Dropbox or any kind of Cloud storage account of your preference (Google Drive, Google Photos etc.).
Dropbox works best for me!

Plan A: You can do it using your Mac/PC, or
Plan B: With your phone only!

and METHOD 2 - Using a paid Creative Cloud membership to sync the files over.

Plan A: With a PC/Mac

  1. Download Lightroom Mobile and Dropbox. They are available for free for both iOS and Android.
  2. Upload unzipped .dng files to the Dropbox folder on your computer.
  3. Once all the files are synced, go to your mobile app of Dropbox and save all the .dng files to the camera roll of your device. Depending on your phone, the images might show as blank squares or may look all the same as if they were unedited - but worry not, youre doing it right!
  4. Now when you have all of your .dng files saved to your phone, open the Lightroom Mobile app.
  5. Create a new album and name it anything you like.
  6. Click on the (...) button in the top right corner and choose “Add Photos”.
  7. Import .dng files from your camera roll.
Now that the files are in your Lightroom album you will need to manually create and save your presets - dont worry, its very easy to do.
  8. Open the first file, tap on the (...) button and then “Create Preset”. Name it and choose a “Preset Group” where you want to save it.
  9. Click check mark in the top right corner to save your preset and voila!

Plan B: With your phone only

  1. From your phone navigate to the Presets Mobile file and unzip it.
  2. Open it and save the files into Dropbox, Apple Files, or any other file hosting service.
  3. Download the files into your camera roll.

Steps 4~10 are the same!

Using a paid Creative Cloud membership to sync the files over.
To use this method, you will need a paid Creative Cloud membership.

You can import your presets directly to Lightroom CC and sync them with your mobile app. Heres how:

  1. Import your preset files to Lightroom Desktop as described in section “Desktop” of this guide.
  2. The sync of your files from Lightroom Classic should start automatically.

Make sure you
re logged into your Creative Cloud Account and your devices are synced. You can easily check it by clicking on the cloud icon in the top right corner of Lightroom.
Shall you have any troubles, don't hesitate to reach out.
